JANUARY GUILD MEETING

Community Quilts Workshops at Stitch by Stitch

There will be only one workshop each month during the winter months, on the Tuesday following the guild meeting. The first will be January 9^th.

Time is still the same, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Come for the day, or any portion you can – many hands make light work! Bring your lunch, and please wear your guild name tag during the workshop!

Please remember that we need placemats for Meals on Wheels.  They can be dropped off at the monthly workshop.

Monthly Zoom Sew Day

Watch for your Zoom invitation, and join the group on Saturday, January 6th, beginning at 1 p.m. Sit and chat, stitch, cut out a new project, or finish an old one. Help and opinions are available, along with smiling faces!

DECEMBER GUILD MEETING

Date: Wednesday 6 December, 2023

Location:  Christ Church Parish Hall,

990 Sydenham Rd.

Time:  Doors open at 6:40 for 7:00 p.m.

Mask wearing is now optional, and therefore, a personal choice.  Please remember, members are encouraged to refrain from attending meetings if they are feeling ill.  Please use hand sanitizer, available at the door.

There will be time to visit with members, as well as some holiday fun!

There will be refreshments served in the coming holiday spirit!

Community Quilts

Please bring any completed quilts, or consider taking home a kit to help fill the needs in our community.

The workshops will be held at Stitch by Stitch on Tuesday December 12th, January 9th and February 13th, from 10 until 4. Please wear your membership pin and mask, bring a lunch if you plan to stay for the day. You can also pick up or drop off a quilt project.

Library

The library will be available at the December meeting, with books due back in April! Books will be able to be returned during the meeting as well.

Block of the Month

Don’t forget to bring your finished blocks to share!

The more colours the merrier with this pattern!

Zoom Sew Days

There are two sew days planned for December 9th and January 6th.

Remember that our monthly meetings for January, February and March

will be held via Zoom. Notices will be sent to members via email,

with the login to the meetings.

November Guild Meeting

COMMUNITY QUILTS

November 7th, from 10am to 4pm, at Stitch by Stitch.  Bring a cup for coffee, and a bag lunch, and enjoy a day of stitching, and preparing quilts for donation.  Please wear your name tag.  You can drop off completed kits, or pick up a new one.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH

Please bring your completed blocks to share during the November meeting.  Your next set of instructions will be arriving late in October.  This is a great project for using small pieces of leftover fabric!  It is not too late to join in the fun.

LIBRARY

The library will be open during the meeting to return books, and sign out new ones.  There are lots of ideas hiding in the pages. Please plan to take some extra books during November and December, and return them at the April in-person meeting!

ZOOM SEW DAYS

Our next sew day is Saturday, November 4th.  Watch for your zoom link, sent to your email account.  It will be a good time to work on the small blocks of our current block of the month project, or finish some Christmas projects!  Come and chat with friends, and share your work.

CRAFT SALE AT THE CURLING CLUB

Our guild will be participating in a craft sale on December 2, 2023 from 9am until 1pm. They will be selling items from our boutique!

FABRIC SALE

Bring some Loonies and Toonies for a fabric sale during the November meeting!

Lillian has asked that all our members save paper towel and toilet paper rolls, and bring them to the December meeting!
