This month we will be participating in a
“Getting To Know You” game!

With our upcoming quilt show, there will be a lesson on making and attaching a hanging sleeve to your quilts.


The pattern for the next set of blocks will be available in the Block of the Month folder on November 1st.

Once again, we will be donating placemats to
Meals on Wheels.
The final due date will be November 1st, at the meeting!
Please try to make one or two to bring some cheer to the recipients of Meals on Wheels.

Fat Quarter Exchange
Theme for November
 is “Animals”
Bring 1 or several good quality fat quarters to the meeting each month.  Your name will go into a draw, and you could win one of the collections of fat quarters each month.

This lovely quilt will be won by a lucky person!

Proceeds to the Kingston Food Bank.
Winner will be announced at the Christmas dinner.

Our meeting began with an explanation of our Mini-Workshop evening, by our guild president.There were 3 mini-workshop presentations featuring interesting techniques for tablerunners.
(The hand-outs for each are available on our
Block of the Month page.)

The fourth station featured a fabric sale, with the proceeds going to the Food Sharing Program at local elementary schools.Following a break, to enjoy delicious snacks
provided by our October social groupwe continued on with our regular meeting.
Please check out the Monthly Social Committee page, to look for your name, so that you will be prepared when it is “your month”.  There were a few changes made recently.

There were some quilts displayed by our Community Quilts group
The library was ready for members to select books to borrow, or to purchase older books – the funds help to buy new publications.There was a double display of postcards this month.

Our monthly Fat Quarter draw was held, with this month’s selection of “Stripes”.  We ended the evening with a lovely group of
Show and Tell projects. Please don’t forget the “Fidgit Quilt” workshop
on Thursday 26 September at the Odessa fairgrounds.
