May 2 – Threads That Bind Workshop – with Sheri Hisey   from Border Creek StationMay 16 – Make and Take Workshop
You are going to have the opportunity to learn about, and work on 3 projects at this workshop. The cost is only $5.00, to cover the rent, coffee, and photocopying.
The workshop is held at the Odessa Fairgrounds Lions’ Hall. It is tucked behind the Southeast corner of the Highway 2 and County Road 6 intersection. You may enter off of either road. Bring your lunch. There is a microwave for our use. Workshops are held from 10:00 and 4:00. The hall is open early to set up the work tables. You may want to drop-in during the day to see what is happening. Welcome!
One project uses 2.5 inch squares.
The second project uses a pack of Charm Squares, to make a baby quilt, or a Layer Cake, which makes a generous lap quilt. You will need matching yardage for the background. You will master 4-patches and half-square triangles while completing this quilt. Squaring your blocks before assembly is important! Then you can make anything.
The third project is an iron tote. It also acts as a pressing mat, and a terrific storage spot for a spare iron. It will remain scratch-free!
To register for this fun day, and to obtain the complete list of required fabrics and tools, contact Lillian.
