Our guest for October was
Among Brenda’s Bags
She provided us with a great presentation of her quilts and bags, and discussed her journey to become a pattern designer, and to become known to the quilting world. She brought a large variety of quilts and bags to share, along with lots of patterns and notions. Her sale table did a brisk business during the meeting, and we are anxious to see all the bags that were made at the workshop held the following day.
The bags were passed around the room for close-up viewing.
Patterns were available for the quilts
This reversible quilt was a “quilt as you go” pattern.
Following the presentation, we enjoyed a short break to enoy a snack, shop, visit the library, and have a closer look at all the wonderful quilts and bags.
We received a thank you from the Organ Transplant Support Group. They had great ticket sales on their raffle quilt, donated by the Limestone Quilters’ Guild, and are able to help more families.
We had lots more quilts finished for Community Quilts this month.
Keep up the good work and keep them coming!
Many finished blocks, from the first month of BOM, were shared,
and two more to work on for next month.
Hope to see you at next month’s meeting for more quilting fun!
