Limestone Quilters’ Guild – Wed. Sept. 7, 2011 – Programme

Hello LQG members!
This Wed. evening we will welcome Mary Pal, she is a textile artist from Ottawa who was featured in the Dec. 2010/Jan. 2011 Quilting Arts Magazine and has recorded a segment for Quilting Arts TV.  It will be interesting and inspiring to see her creations as we start this new year 🙂  Check out her web site http://marypaldesigns.com .   Also, for everyone who has signed up for her cheesecloth portraits workshop on the 10th… enjoy! All around, Mary will help give us a great start to the indoor creative season!

Challenge LQG 2011 Summer
Diane is looking forward to a wonderful amount of blocks from the 2011 Summer Challenge and all participants names will go into a draw for a handmade bag and a piece of stained glass! …AND bring your Lug-a Mug’s (the Sept. Block of the Month!) (remember to make/bring 2 so you can participate in the Lug-a-Mug Exchange at this Sept. 7 meeting.

THESE 2 patterns are available on our website and in our Newsletter.

If you still need to sign up and pay for this years Membership, exact cash or a pre made cheque to Limestone Quilters Guild would be appreciated. $30.00/yr. plus $10.00 for a name tag.  Folks who signed up early can look forward to the draw!

Items for Sew & Tell are welcome, don’t be shy!

Library start time is6:30.  Bring your returns and then browse through the library for some new inspirations or please email or call Ann Oastler if you want keep your books for another month.

Also, bring along a couple of toonies to try your luck with the 50/50, usually enough to put a smile on someone’s face and Lug-a-Mug to help keep waste to a minimum during refreshment time is very appreciated, and thank you in advance to the members who signed up to bring snacks for break time:)
