Limestone Quilters Guild Meeting for Wed. April 6, 2011

Library at 6:30pm, meeting starts 7:00pm

Hello LQG members, put away those mitts and join us for this meeting where we will welcome Kathy K Wylie from Ottawa. Check out her web site at http://www.kathykwylie.com

She will have patterns for sale.

During this evening we will also be presenting Madeliene Tarasick http://www.cw4wafghan.ca with a donation and a quilt that will go toward their fundraiser that is scheduled later this month.

Charlene will be reminding us of our 20th Anniversary President Challenge quilt due date, June 1.  Instructions are in the last Newsletter.  Members who bring a completed quilt to the June dinner meeting will have their names entered into a draw; 3 excellent prizes: one year free membership, restaurant gift certificate and a mystery gift!

Diane is also looking forward to seeing how many Block of the Month are handed in, note the centre material was supplied;-) …and reminder for anyone who received their postcard to bring them along, and don’t forget to bring the one you received from our Post Card Exchange!

Anne and Brynhild will be encouraging members to sign out kits, these are relatively low stress projects and you can feel good knowing that it will go to someone in the community that is in need of a cozy quilt during difficult times.  The next Community Quilts workshop day is Tues. April 12, 10-4pm at Anne’s house.

Items for Sew & Tell are welcome, don’t be shy!

Library will be up and running, start time 6:30.  If you have any returns put them near the door and then browse through the library for some new inspirations or please please email or call
Ann Oastler if you want keep your books for another month.

Also bring along a couple of toonies to try your luck with the 50/50, usually enough to put a smile on someones face and Lug-a-Mug to help keep waste to a minimum during refreshment time is very appreciated.

June Anniversary Dinner tickets will be on sale too. $15.00 for members, $20.00 for non-members
